Dispersion of digital (0, m, 2)-nets

چکیده
We study the dispersion of digital (0, m, 2)-nets; i.e. size largest axes-parallel box within such point sets. Digital nets are an important class low-discrepancy prove tight lower and upper bounds for certain subclasses where generating matrices triangular form compute special as Hammersley set exactly.

Some Geometric and Combinatorial Properties of (0; M; 2)-nets in Base B 2
In this paper, we study the geometric generation of the (0; m; 2)-nets. Based on some combinatorial methods, a generation property on (0; m; 2)-nets with an applications to a Sobol' sequence and the number of the (0; m; 2)-nets in equivalent sense are given. We also present some symmetry properties of the Sobol' sequence and the Roth-Zaremba sequence.
متن کامل0 M ay 2 00 6 On Taylor dispersion in oscillatory channel flows
We revisit Taylor dispersion in oscillatory flows at zero Reynolds number, giving an alternative method of calculating the Taylor dispersivity that is easier to use with computer algebra packages to obtain exact expressions. We consider the effect of out-of-phase oscillatory shear and Poiseuille flow, and show that the resulting Taylor dispersivity is independent of the phase difference. We als...
متن کاملPhonon dispersion of silicene on ZrB2(0 0 0 1).
We measured the phonon dispersion of silicene (monolayer Si with a honeycomb lattice) on ZrB2(0 0 0 1) using high-resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy. The measured phonon dispersion was compared with ab initio density functional theory calculations for a silicene model with [Formula: see text] periodicity of the substrate. The most stable [Formula: see text] silicene structure, which i...
متن کامل2 M ay 2 00 0 Transport along Null Curves
Fermi Transport is useful for describing the behaviour of spins or gyroscopes following nongeodesic, timelike world lines. However, Fermi Transport breaks down for null world lines. We introduce a transport law for polarisation vectors along non-geodesic null curves. We show how this law emerges naturally from the geometry of null directions by comparing polarisation vectors associated with two...
متن کاملThe Discrepancy of Digital Nets
Digital sequences and nets are among the most popular kinds of low discrepancy sequences and are often used for quasi-Monte Carlo quadrature rules. Several years ago Owen proposed a method of scrambling digital sequences and recently Faure and Tezuka have proposed another method. This article considers the discrepancy of digital nets under these scramblings. The first main result of this articl...
